PC Music mastermind A. G. Cook has announced a new album, led by a collaboration with Charli XCX that the pair premiered last night (February 23) during Charli's Boiler Room set in Brooklyn.

Arriving May 10 via New Alias — his aptly named new label — Britpop is described as a 24-song collection that blurs the lines between mainstream and experimental music, exploring electronica, Britpop and futuristic sounds in three parts: Past, Present and Future.

Britpop follows Cook's pair of 2020 solo albums, Apple and 7G. Last year, the producer joined forces with EASYFUN to release Soft Rock, their debut offering as Thy Slaughter. Cook also announced that, beyond 2023, PC Music will no longer be releasing new music, as the innovative hyperpop label will now be focussing on archival releases.

Listen to the blippy bop "Britpop" featuring Charli XCX — who also has a new single called "Von Dutch" coming out on February 29 — below.
