Later this year, Ubisoft will deliver the highly anticipated new videogame South Park: The Fractured but Whole. Rather than promote it via more traditional means, the South Park folks have crafted a truly elaborate fart joke.
Like its predecessor The Stick of Truth, the new South Park game features plenty of flatulence from its characters. Rather than just look and hear the onscreen toots, however, developers have created a virtual reality headset that allows users to sniff the various odours.
Riffing on the Oculus Rift, the new headset has been dubbed the Nosulus Rift. It arrives with an official website and a hilarious promotional video, available below.
While it'd be tempting to write this whole thing off as a funny online joke, it looks like the Nosulus Rift is actually real. According to their website, they'll be demonstrating its fart-sniffing abilities at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, from August 17 to 21.
The Fractured but Whole, meanwhile, is set to arrive on December 6.
