Controversy has surrounded Radiohead in recent weeks, as Jonny Greenwood had his UK shows cancelled amidst protests from the BDS Movement over his collaboration with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa, while Ed O'Brien posted a pro-Palestinian graphic on Instagram. Thom Yorke, meanwhile, has stayed silent since shutting down a pro-Palestinian protester last year — but now his son Noah Yorke has weighed in.

Noah Yorke's band Hex Girlfriend were on tour with Irish post-punks the Murder Capital, but they had two German shows cancelled due to the headliners displaying a Palestine flag on stage. While the flag didn't belong to Hex Girlfriend, the band posted on Instagram to clarify, "The flag has been part of every show, and we've been proud to stand beside it."

Hex Girlfriend noted that they "fully support" the statement released by the Murder Capital, and signed off the post by writing, "Free Palestine."

The Murder Capital said that displaying the flag was a "humanitarian statement" and said, "Us having a flag on our stage at a rock show is not a political statement. It is a human reaction to a horrific and unimaginable situation. But this is not history, it is happening right now, today. We stand forever with the people of Palestine. Free the people of Palestine."

Hex Girlfriend are an industrial-inspired collaboration between Noah Yorke and James Knott. Their Instagram post wasn't directly credited to either member, but presumably reflects their shared views.
