While Jason Reitman's new Ghostbusters film isn't due out until 2020, there's already plenty of excitement about the upcoming sequel. Adding to that is OG Ghostbusters star Sigourney Weaver, who has confirmed she will be returning as Dana Barrett. What's more, it sounds like Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd will be back too.

The news comes via Parade Magazine, which writes, Weaver is "set to reunite with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the new Ghostbusters." It adds, "She won't reveal any details except to confirm she's reprising her role as hauntee Dana Barrett."

But Weaver herself told the publication, "It's going to be crazy working with the guys again!"

At this point, that's all we have to go on, though, with the studio so far making no official casting announcement about Weaver, Murray or Aykroyd.

As previously reported, Jason Reitman — son of original franchise director Ivan Reitman — is directing the sequel, which is due out on July 10, 2020.

So far, we know that Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Carrie Coon (Gone Girl) and Mckenna Grace (Gifted) have been cast for the upcoming Ghostbusters. The film is also set to film in Calgary this summer.

But really, that's all we have at this point, so stay tuned.
