You can once again dial a (212) area code when there's something strange in your neighbourhood, as Paul Rudd and co.'s new generation of Ghostbusters officially make their return to New York City in the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire teaser trailer.
The second film in the rebooted franchise is due to hit theatres on March 29.
It's confirmed that the cast of 2021's Ghostbusters: Afterlife will return with Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace at the helm. Original 'Busters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson will also return, while Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt headline the new cast members.
Afterlife director Jason Reitman returns as co-writer and co-producer, with Gil Kenan taking his place behind the camera in Frozen Empire.
As the title suggests, the teaser shows New York City freeze over, the Ghostbusters seemingly the only people left to fight off the mysterious source of cold. The film's official synopsis reads:
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started — the iconic New York City firehouse — to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who've developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level.
