If you needed more proof that Keanu Reeves is breathtaking and/or awesome, further evidence was presented recently on the aptly-named subreddit r/KeanuBeingAwesome.
Yesterday, a user uploaded a piece of footage with the caption "More proof of Keanu Being Awesome: helping the John Wick 4 film crew move equipment to the top of the hill of Montmartre in Paris." The 16-second video seems to show exactly that, with Reeves in his signature John Wick suit carrying what looks like several pieces of equipment up a flight of steps.
At one point in the video, someone who looks like a crew member attempts to relieve Reeves of his burden, but he continues on alone because he's strong and cool.
It's always nice to see nice-seeming celebrities do nice things, but it's particularly nice to see an actor worth many millions of dollars do some heavy lifting at a time when underpaid film crews and behind-the-scenes workers are fighting for better treatment and fairer wages. Not to give a rich dude too much credit for walking up a flight of stairs, but even when the bar is low, it can be reassuring when people manage to clear it.
As was reported earlier this month, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) voted to authorize a nationwide strike on TV and film productions by a near-unanimous margin. It would be the first nationwide strike in the union's 128-year history.
Treat workers fairly, pay them accordingly, and if you're a multimillionaire, maybe offer to carry some heavy shit every once in a while.
