The Emmy Awards took place last night (September 12), offering a chance for celebrities to look fabulous and get some publicity by showing their face at one of the glitziest events of the year — well, except for Bill Hader, who was seemingly the only celeb in the whole room wearing a mask.
Hader's show Barry was up for several awards last night, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Barry didn't win — but Hader himself gave quite a relatable performance by sticking out from the crowd.
While there's no way to tell if he was the only person in the room with a mask, shots from the event show Hader's mask amidst a sea of maskless faces. It's a black tie event, so naturally, he opted to wear a dignified black KN95 — truly a refined mask choice.
Barry's fantastic third season came out earlier this year. It lost Outstanding Comedy Series to the very enjoyable (but far inferior) Ted Lasso.
