Emmy-nominated actress and Steppenwolf Theatre Company originator Glenne Headly has passed away. She was 62.
Reps for the actress confirmed the news of her passing to Deadline this morning (June 9). A cause of death has yet to be determined.
"It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Glenne Headly," her reps said in a statement. "We ask that her family's privacy be respected in this difficult time."
Headly was recognized for starring in films such as Mr. Holland's Opus, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Dick Tracy. At the time of her death, she was at work on the Seth Rogen-produced Hulu comedy series Future Man. She had also recently appeared in HBO's The Night Of.
Headly was also recognized as an early member of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where she met and acted alongside then-husband John Malkovich.
