Kim's Convenience is coming to an end after its current season, and even though cast members Andrew Phung and Nicole Power have already lined up new shows, some people are still campaigning to save the beloved CBC sitcom. This includes Saturday Night Live cast member Bowen Yang, who used his appearance on Weekend Update to give Kim's Convenience a special shoutout.

Yang appeared on Weekend Update on Saturday (March 27), where he was jokingly introduced as the show's "Asian Cast Member." He spoke about the rise of anti-Asian violence and discrimination and offered some tongue-in-cheek solutions, as well as very sincere words of encouragement. As the segment wrapped up and host Colin Jost threw to commercial, Yang got in one final comment, shouting, "Save Kim's Convenience!"

We recently spoke with Kim's Convenience cast members Simu Liu and Andrew Phung about how the show has changed the Canadian TV landscape.
