As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis is two years into a six-year prison sentence over the attempted murder plot on his wife, but one of his behind-bars possessions has awkwardly managed to escape into the outside world. The metal singer's prison ID is currently selling on eBay.

An anonymous seller on the online auction site is claiming to possess Lambesis's California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation identification card. It's noted in a brief product description that the current owner of the item was incarcerated with Lambesis and "befriended him." The singer apparently gifted the ID card after he asked "what he could do for his close friend."

It's added in the listing: "There is only one like it... outside of prison, that is."

The item shows a photo of Lambesis, wearing an orange, prison-issue jumpsuit. It also features his birth date and incarceration date. It's currently going for $500 USD, plus shipping. As of press time, no bids have been made on the ID card.

As previously reported, Lambesis had pled guilty to a felony charge of soliciting the murder of his wife, Meggan Lambesis, in 2013. He had tried to hire an undercover cop posing as a hitman. During the trial, Meggan had told the court that she believed the singer had been plotting her murder for some time.

Since the incident, the other members of As I Lay Dying went on to form a different project, Wovenwar. They issued their self-titled debut in 2014 via Metal Blade.
