Winnipeg's Arielle Beaupré has shared her debut single as Bush Lotus — "Open" is a gently shapeshifting folk stunner, produced by House of Wonders' Adam Fuhr and inspired by the expansive skies of the Montreal native's current home province.
"This song was a moment of release brought on by the vast blue of the prairie sky breaking in through the senses and pulling me from my mind," Beaupré said of "Open." "It became music after it was first put into words. Adam at House of Wonders made the music into what I had dreamed of and so much more — I can't thank him enough."
"I stretched my arms wide / As though my fingertips / Would reach the ends of the sky," Beaupré sings over swirls of acoustic guitar and muted percussion. Check out "Open" below.
