Willis Earl Beal recently offered up a preview of his forthcoming Through the Dark EP by streaming its melancholy, minimalist title cut. Shedding more light on the project, he's now streaming the collection in full.
The eight-song EP begins with the shadowy, dialogue-sampling dronescape, "This Way," which questions: "Are you a bastard, or are you a good guy?" Slightly more traditional pieces include "You Got Away, " which presents Beal's echo-flaked vibrato soaring above a gentle symphony of synths, or the longing "Lost in a Dream."
Beals' low-key follow-up to Noctunes is streaming below, courtesy of Stereogum. It officially goes up for sale this Friday (April 1) via Tender Loving Empire.
