Bryce and Aaron Dessner have kinda been all over the place lately, and their latest project is a movie-musical adaptation (of their own off-Broadway adaptation) of Edmond Rostand's 1897 play Cyrano de Bergerac.
Arriving at the end of December, the Joe Wright-directed Cyrano stars Peter Dinklage and features music written by the Dessners, with lyrics by Matt Berninger and his wife Carin Besser.
And last night, Dinklage pulled double duty as the guest and musical performance on Colbert's Late Show, bringing the Dessner twins along to perform a song from the film called "Your Name."
The Dessners played some twinkling guitar and were backed by a string quartet and pianist, while Dinklage sang in his Berninger-meets-Nick Cave baritone.
The entire Cyrano soundtrack arrives December 10, while the film comes to select theatres on December 31.
