Ty Segall's the C.I.A. Announce New Album 'Surgery Channel'

Ty Segall, his wife Denée Segall and Emmett Kelly have announced a new album — Surgery Channel, due January 20 via In the Red — as the C.I.A.

Recorded by Mike Kriebel at Segall's own Harmonizer Studios, the record marks the follow-up to their 2018 self-titled debut. It finds Denée serving as the principal songwriter and vocalist, with Ty on bass, percussion and backup vocals, and Kelly on bass, synth and backing vocals.

Ahead of the album's release next year, the group have shared its lead single, "Impersonator," which comes with a music video directed by Denée and Joshua Erkman.
