This Burger King Song Is a Pop-Punk Anthem for the Ages

All hail Lil Devo's "Burger Queen"

What if Fall Out Boy's "Sugar We're Goin Down" was an ode to vegan Burger King eats? Wonder no more, because Los Angeles-based pop-punk singer Lil Devo is here to deliver the goods — extra cringe, hold the cheese.

The pink-haired TikToker went viral this week after posting a video serenade to his plant-based "Burger Queen," the viral version of @savageprincessz's original. It's a song with such artful lyrics as, "I'm at Burger King with my Burger Queen / Can I get a large fry? / She's vegan please so don't put no cheese with some honey mustard on the side."

It's a departure from the little-known artist, whose other works venture into the worlds of hyperpop, emo and far-less ironic pop-punk palettes.

That said, Lil Devo's ode to Burger King is an undeniable pop-punk anthem, which has since been endlessly recreated and dueted on TikTok, where other musicians have lent their strings, sticks and harmony to the track.
