With preexisting plans to tour extensively across North America later this year and into 2025, it seems as though Godspeed You! Black Emperor have figured they might as well throw new music into the mix, too: the Montreal stalwarts appear to have a new album set for release on October 4 through Constellation Records — which announced its departure from the platform formerly known as Twitter earlier this morning.
UPDATE (8/28, 9:07 a.m. ET): The band have now officially announced the album "NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD," sharing the following statement:

As Reddit users have drawn attention to, there is a new GY!BE album currently showing up as a pre-release on Apple Music New Zealand. Entitled "NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD," the six-track collection is seemingly led by a song called "GREY RUBBLE – GREEN SHOOTS," of which Apple Music subscribers can preview 90 seconds now. At least one commenter has interpreted the title as a reference to the Palestinian death toll in Gaza reported by WAFA News Agency on February 12.
