Montreal-based alt-folk outfit the Franklin Electric kick off their short run of North American tour dates this evening, and in celebration, the band are premiering brand new material.

Their new EP, In Your Heart, arrives today from Nettwerk Records, and you can listen to the entire record down below.

Following up their 2019 EP In Your Head, the Franklin Electric have created a concept project with In Your Heart. According to the band, the new EP is all about "love, vulnerability and re-connecting with life/ourselves."

The band — fronted by Jon Matte — released their debut record back in 2014. They've been touring in support of their various records ever since, offering live support to bands like Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and City and Colour. Back in 2018, the band earned a Juno nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year.

The Franklin Electric will support In Your Heart on their upcoming spring tour, making their way through Quebec and Ontario before heading south of the border for SXSW. Ticket information can be found here.
