The Franklin Electric Overhaul Debut Album for Indica Records Debut

The Franklin Electric's press materials note that frontman Jon Matte has previously worked with acts like Patrick Watson and Bran Van 3000, but now he's focusing on his own music. The Franklin Electric's debut album is called This Is How I Let You Down, an overhauled version of which will be out on May 6 through Indica Records.

Matte self-produced the album alongside engineer Rob Heaney, with recording taking place live off the floor. The results were mixed by Chris Shaw (Weezer, Islands, Bob Dylan). An announcement describes the album as "solid and moving, echoing some Coldplay but with a warmer orchestral sound."

The album originally came out last year, but the band's Facebook page notes that this label version has been remixed, remastered and includes new songs. The original, 10-song version of the album from 2013 is streaming at the bottom of this page; scroll past the group's tour schedule to check it out.
