After teasing their upcoming album earlier this year, Hamilton pop-punk trio the Dirty Nil have now shared the record's album art (above) and release date. Fuck Art is scheduled to arrive on January 1 through Dine Alone, and to celebrate, the band have also announced a string of virtual North American tour dates.
The Dirty Nil will embark on a 14-date "Dancing 2 Thrash Tour" beginning in Columbus, OH, on October 13. They'll make their way through three Canadian cities on the trek, including Red Deer and Montreal, later concluding the tour at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre on November 5 — where they recently recorded a performance of their latest single.
"We know it's been a weird year but we're here to help," the band wrote in a press release. "Tired of these bullshit living room concerts? Miss the chaos and energy of a Rock n Roll show? We proudly present the 'Dancing 2 Thrash Tour': 14 unique sets in your favourite North American cities. Pro audio and video performance delivered as only your boys can do. We promise these will ease the pain of 2020."
The concerts will take place virtually via NoonChorus, in accordance with COVID-19 distancing regulations. Tickets for the tour and merch bundles are on sale here.
The Dirty Nil's last full-length release was 2018's Master Volume. Earlier this year, they shared new videos for "Doom Boy" and "Done with Drugs."
