While the Brian Jonestown Massacre's cinema-inspired 2015 release Musique De Film Imaginé wasn't specifically attached to a movie of any sort, band leader Anton Newcombe and the rest of his psych rock crew are determined to soundtrack your concert experience this year. The Bay Area band have unveiled an upcoming round of North American tour dates.
A press release confirms that the long-running combo's tour kicks off with a performance at Austin's annual Levitation Festival and will then head to a series of North American clubs. The schedule primarily takes place in the U.S., but there are several Canadian dates to report.
As you can see via the show listings down below, Newcombe and co. are heading to Montreal's Le Tulipe on May 10 and Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on May 12. They will then make their way to Edmonton on May 20, Calgary on May 21 and Vancouver on May 23.
While the Brian Jonestown Massacre are playing Austin's Levitation event, that the group makes their way to the West Coast at the end of May could cast doubt on them also appearing the next month at Levitation Vancouver. Then again, not a single band has been announced for that event, which runs June 16 to 18. Stranger things have happened.
You'll find a stream of Musique De Film Imaginé beneath the concert info.
