West Coast Canadian psych fans have a weekend of tripped-out sounds to look forward to this spring, with news arriving that the Levitation Festival will return to Vancouver for a series of club shows and outdoor festival-style dates in June.

While bands have yet to be confirmed, a press release from Levitation Vancouver has confirmed that  shows take place between June 16 and 18. As it had with its 2015 debut, the festival will host all-day outdoor performances at Stanley Park's Malkin Bowl, while a series of club shows will be spread out during the evenings.

Last year, Vancouver's Levitation played host to artists that included the Black Lips, the Black Angels, Black Mountain, Dead Moon, Elephant Stone, Witch, King Tuff, Dead Ghosts, the Warlocks, A Place to Bury Strangers, Black Moth Super Rainbow's Tobacco, Shigeto, Amen Dunes, Willie Thrasher and Linda Saddleback, White Poppy and more.

Details on the 2016 lineup are expected sometime soon.

As for the traditional Austin portion of Levitation (formerly known as the Austin Psych Fest), it had previously been revealed that this year's instalment will feature performances from Brian Wilson, Animal Collective, Flying Lotus, Black Mountain, Sleep, Ty Segall, Lee "Scratch" Perry and more. It runs April 29 to May 1 at Austin's Carson Creek Ranch.

Considering the U.S. lineup, it's time to cross your fingers and dream big, everybody.
