Taylor Swift Announces '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

"To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVOURITE re-record I've ever done because the five From the Vault tracks are so insane"

The ever-present rumblings in Swiftie Nation have come to fruition: while everyone has been constantly refreshing their junk folder to see if their very much missing pre-sale code for one of her Toronto concerts was somehow adrift in there, Taylor Swift went and announced that the next release in her re-recording project will be 1989.

On the ninth day of the eighth month (because of course), Swift shared the news on stage at her final of six Los Angeles Eras tour shows at SoFi Stadium.

1989 (Taylor's Version) will arrive on October 27, exactly nine years after the album's initial release in 2014. It follows last month's Speak Now (Taylor's Version), the third re-recording the pop star has made in light of not owning the masters for her first six studio albums.

"Surprise!!" Swift wrote on Instagram (yeah, right) to tell the rest of the world. "The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVOURITE re-record I've ever done because the five From the Vault tracks are so insane. I can't believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!"
