It's been a year since Swedish House Mafia's "One Last Tour" wound down, and now the defunct EDM trio are saying goodbye with their aptly titled documentary Leave the World Behind. It premiered at SXSW and had subsequent international screenings, and now the film is slated to get a slightly more extensive theatrical release.
In the coming weeks, Leave the World Behind will be shown in 17 countries worldwide. This includes Canada, where the film will be screened Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver on April 1.
From the looks of things, there will only be one showing per city, so fans who want to ensure they get a seat should act fast when tickets go on sale on Tuesday (March 25). Details can be found at LeaveTheWorldBehind.com.
Directed by Christian Larson, the film documents the highs and lows group's final tour. The movie includes live footage as it explores the electronic music scene. A press release notes that it "displays an insight into this world, the psychology of the band, plus the sheer scale of the tour itself and the band's outstanding global achievements."
