Sum 41 have cancelled all of their August tour dates after a band member suffered a back injury.

This includes August 3 at the Jubilee in New Glasgow, NS. The venue issued a statement saying, "We regret to inform you that Sum 41 has to cancel their appearance at the Jubilee on Saturday, August 3rd and subsequent summer dates, due to a minor back injury that requires a few weeks of physician ordered recuperation. This decision has been made with careful consideration for health and safety, and we apologize to the fans for this regrettable and un-avoidable situation. The band is looking forward to continuing their final world tour come this September." They have now been replaced by the Beaches, Death from Above 1979 and POSTDATA.

Saint John, NB's AREA 506 Festival, meanwhile, shared that the Beaches will be headlining on August 4 in Sum 41's place.

Rimouski, QC's Les Grandes Fêtes TELUS has also shared Sum 41's cancellation, with Simple Plan taking over as headliners. Victoriaville, QC's Rock La Cauze, meanwhile, asked fans who they should bring in as replacements.

Concert promoter BLEUFEU lists Sum 41's other dates as cancelled as well. PUP were scheduled to open those non-festival dates.

As of this writing, Sum 41 still haven't shared any updates about the cancellation on their social media channels, but they've removed all of the August dates from their website. The tour is set to resume in September.

This was due to be Sum 41's last-ever trip to Canada's East Coast, as they band have announced that they're breaking up. It's currently unclear if they will reschedule any of the shows.
