Submarine Billionaire's Stepson Went to a blink-182 Show Amid Rescue Mission, and Cardi B Has Some Thoughts

"Isn't it sad that you a whole fucking billionaire and nobody gives a fuck about you? Like, you missing, and motherfuckers is ready to shake dicks at a concert?"

Much is afoot, and the much only gets much-er. If you missed it, five people in a small submarine have gone missing while looking for the wreck of the Titanic. Regardless of whether the passengers are still alive and/or successfully found, the sub is likely to run out of oxygen tomorrow.

A lot of people have said a lot of things, including that the little OceanGate Titan was poorly built and piloted by a video game controller — but the big reason why this case has been so pervasive in the press is that many of the passengers are very rich people who paid handsome amounts of money to lock themselves in the carbon-fibre submersible in an attempt to get up close and personal with the Titanic.

But anyway, where music comes in here is that the stepson of one of said missing billionaires, Hamish Harding, attended a blink-182 concert amid the rescue mission. Brian Szasz went to the band's San Diego concert on Monday (June 19), which he posted about on Facebook mere hours after posting a plea for "thoughts and prayers" regarding his stepfather's disappearance.

"It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the blink-182 show, as it's my favourite band and music helps me through difficult times!" Szasz wrote in a since-deleted post [via TMZ], which included a photo of himself standing in front of blink's merch tent.

Furthermore, he tweeted the band about it, noting that he was "devastated" but coming to the show so they could "give [him] hope and cheer [him] up."

Speaking for the masses, Cardi B took to her Instagram Story to express that she indeed found the situation distasteful. While the Titanic soundtrack played in the background and a filter featuring one of the Titans from Attack on Titan appearing to have their arms around her, the rapper addressed Szasz's decision to rock out to "Edging" while his stepfather is quite literally lost at sea.

"People is like, 'Well, what is he supposed to do? Be sad at the house? Is he supposed to go look for it himself?' Yes," Cardi said, continuing:

You supposed to be at the house, sad. You supposed to be crying for me. You supposed to be right next to the phone, waiting to hear any updates about me. You supposed comforting your mom and shit. Isn't it sad that you a whole fucking billionaire and nobody gives a fuck about you? Like, you missing, and motherfuckers is ready to shake dicks at a concert? That's crazy. I'd rather be broke. I'd rather be broke and, like, am poor but knowing that I'm loved.

Shaking dicks is undeniably what happens at a blink-182 show, so it's on good authority that she's right about everything else too. As the story has spread, its already-rich (literally and figuratively) tapestry has only gotten more so: it's been reported that, in 2021, Szasz was called out online for sending threatening messages to women in the rave community [via SK Pop]. After that, he posted a series of tweets threatening to "massacre" Excision and Illenium's Trilogy shows that were scheduled contemporaneously in Las Vegas.

Word got to the DJs, and both claimed that Szasz's tickets to the events had been cancelled, he would not be allowed in and general security had been increased. Shortly thereafter, a Twitter user involved in the case claimed that Szasz had been arrested for stalking and was in the custody of San Diego PD, charged with a felony with a $100,000 USD bond.

Now, the billionaire's stepson seems to be using the clout from his missing family member to shoot his shot with an OnlyFans model on Twitter. Everyone copes in different ways, I suppose! Szasz also didn't appreciate Cardi B serving as the morality police and told her to "get some class" in response to her video.
