We're certain Naya Ali would have lit up SXSW this week had it not been cancelled, but it hasn't stopped the Montreal-based rapper from rolling out debut album Godspeed: Baptism (Prelude), which you can hear right now.
Arriving today through Coyote Records, Godspeed: Baptism (Prelude)'s eight tracks mark the first half of the complete album, with the second half due out later this year.
Following 2018's Higher Self EP, Ali is said to welcome the listener into "a much more personal universe" on the album, one that is "at times dark, at other times vulnerable and luminous, but always uncompromising."
