Having recently signed with Sony Music Entertainment Canada, rap duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids have shared their first major label single, "I Got Paid Today," as well as expanding their tour into 2024.
The song, which is hopefully based on reality now that the pair are signed to a major label, was produced by Boogey the Beat and features a Mean Girls-inspired hook of "Get in loser, bitch we're going shopping." They've also shared a video directed by Sterling Larose, documenting some fun times on tour.
The duo's Yung Trybez said in a statement, "We really wanted to capture that feeling when you just get paid and you're thinkin' 'bout all the ways you're gonna spend that money, but also that low feeling when you're broke again and gotta wait around till that next payment comes in. We brought in our homies, Tia Wood and Lex Leosis, for vocals on the track and they really brought a new energy to the song."
The duo's Hot World Tour was already slated to take them into the US with a Canadian stop in Toronto this fall. Their expanded schedule now includes a few additional Ontario dates in early 2024, followed by more US stops and a British Columbia leg.
