Slow Club have already won over Harry Potter, and now the British duo are continuing to press forward with a new album. Complete Surrender is due out on July 15 through Wichita Recordings, and it's available to stream in full on Exclaim.ca.
Produced by Colin Elliot, this is Slow Club's third full-length. The mood is mostly fairly mellow, as the duo trade off vocals over graceful, soul-tinged pop arrangements. They occasionally pick up the pace: "Suffering You, Suffering Me" is a horn-blasted, Motown-style stomper, while "The Queen's Noise" rises to a soaring climax, and "Complete Surrender" sports peppy rhythms and disco strings.
