After teasing us with some very St. Vincent-inspired imagery, Sleater-Kinney have announced plans to tour their upcoming album, rumoured to be called The Center Won't Hold. In addition, they've shared the first single "Hurry on Home."
The tour kicks off in the band's Pacific Northwest homeland with a show in Spokane on October 9, and it will make its way to Canada for shows in Toronto on November 3 and Vancouver on November 21.
The full run of dates wraps up near where it started, in Seattle on November 23. See the complete itinerary below.
In addition to plotting their live return, Sleater-Kinney have also unveiled the first single from their upcoming album. It's called "Hurry on Home," and it arrives with a lyric video created by Miranda July.
The clip takes a deep dive into the contents of Carrie Brownstein's phone, beginning with scrolling Instagram feeds, then text conversations that spell out the song's lyrics. Watch it below.
There's still no firm release date Sleater-Kinney album, but when it arrives, the record will mark the follow-up to 2015's No Cities to Love. The band also released a live album called Live in Paris in 2017.
