Sleaford Mods Reveal New Album 'Spare Ribs,' Share "Mork n Mindy" Video

In a world that's so unpredictable, it's comforting to know that U.K. art-punk duo Sleaford Mods will continue to drop a new album of brash, politically charged music every few years. Following 2019's Eton Alive, Nottingham-based two-piece have just announced plans for a follow-up.

The new album is called Spare Ribs and marks the band's sixth proper studio album since forming in 2007. It will arrive on January 15 via Rough Trade.

The album's release is preceded by a single called "Mork n Mindy" which features Billy Nomates and Amy Taylor of Amyl and the Sniffers. You can check it out below via a new video.

Speaking of the production from band member Andrew Fearn, frontman Jason Williamson said, "Andrew has very intelligent levels of inspiration that are not necessarily connected to other artists… He is a producer's producer."

Further, Jason added that he's going further down the pop flirtations that the band had on Eton Alive. "It's led me to become more open to the traditional song again," he said. "We've brought that forward even more from Eton Alive."
