​Skydiggers Announce New Album 'Let's Get Friendship Right'

Stream the lead single "If I'm Spared"

Canadian folk-rock veterans Skydiggers have revealed plans for their next studio album. The record is titled Let's Get Friendship Right, and it is out October 4.
 
Marking the follow-up to 2017's Warmth of the Sun, the concept for the upcoming album originated when Josh Finlayson and Andy Maize participated in a week-long writers retreat in Banff, in the wake of losing a number of friends and family members.
 
Out of that session came a record's worth of songs, which were recorded at the Tragically Hip's Bathouse Studio with producer Nyles Spencer.
 
Though the original intention was to explore the five stages of grief, the songs revealed themselves to be a celebration of the enduring relationships in their lives — ultimately proving to be a big part of the healing process.
