It's been a scary day at Lil Wayne's mansion in Miami Beach, since reports have emerged that four people have been shot and there may even be a showdown brewing between the perpetrator and police.
TMZ reports that someone called the police saying that four people had been shot inside of the home. The caller apparently promised a firefight, and the police have set up a perimeter around the mansion on La Gorce Island.
UPDATE: According to police, the entire incident was a hoax and tweeted the following:

As grim as this sounds, the good news is that Lil Wayne doesn't seem to be home, although he is in Miami.
Wayne is okay. Wasn't home during alleged events.

Perhaps not coincidentally, this comes less than two week after police responded to a 3 a.m. call that a man was lurking suspiciously around the rapper's home. No one was arrested or ticketed in connection with that incident.
