After COVID-related delays back in 2020, Primus have announced plans to restart their tribute tour to Rush's A Farewell to Kings, which they'll perform in its entirety on an extensive 46-date run kicking off in April 2022. The trek will find the California band playing in several cities in Canada, including a pair of stops at Toronto's Massey Hall.

Following a pre-pandemic run of A Tribute to Kings, Les Claypool and co. will kick off the latest iteration of the Rush tribute in Oklahoma City on April 15. After a pair of shows at Massey on May 13 and 14, they'll move on to Montreal and Quebec City, on the 16th and 17th, respectively. Throughout June, Primus have plotted dates in Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. The trek is scheduled to wrap up in Las Vegas at the end of the month.

They'll be joined by supporting act Black Mountain along the Canadian leg of the run, with Battles and the Black Angels offering support in the States.

"Geddy, Alex and Neil had been superheroes to Larry, Herb and I in our teens," Claypool recalled in a statement. "So when we all became pals while touring together in the early '90s, we were pretty delighted; partially because of the musical geek-out factor, but mostly because the three guys whom we had admired so much from afar, turned out to be truly great, down-to-earth humans, and like us, a tad eccentric."

Presales for the tour began today, while general sales open this Friday (December 17) at 10 a.m. local time here.
