Rock icon Patti Smith will be appearing on the upcoming third episode Questlove's new web series Quest for Craft, with her episode dropping next Thursday (November 25).
The series' latest instalment was recorded at NYC's hallowed Electric Lady Studios, and a brief trailer shows Smith discussing her life philosophies and creative drive: "We love the things that we have in life and we're gonna lose many of them," she explains. "But I have every day a new thought, a new idea. It's part of the package of being alive."
Quest for Craft is made in partnership with whiskey company Balvenie, and finds Questlove chatting with various artists or performers about their work.
An official statement describes the series as "a disquisitive new digital series exploring the convergence of craft and creativity, hosted by bestselling author, cultural icon and scholar of creativity Questlove. Quest For Craft explores modern creativity between the lines through compelling creators that pour their hearts into what they do."
The first two episodes feature SNL's Michael Che and legendary producer Jimmy Jam. The eventual fourth interview will be with Malcolm Gladwell.
