Muse delivered a couple things to their drones today. First, they revealed a European portion of a world tour supporting their Drones LP, with plans to unveil more dates in the near future. Something everyone can enjoy in the meantime, though, landed in the form of the prog-pop trio's cover of Chvrches' "Lies."
Muse's take on the track actually seems pretty similar to Chvrches' The Bones of What You Believe original, with both choosing to roll with a hard-hitting one-two and a warped wriggle of synths. This time around, though, Lauren Mayberry's vocals have been scrubbed so that Matt Bellamy can put his dramatic warble all over the piece, and it's also been juiced up with grimy guitar tones.
Honest to god, it's a reasonably enjoyable alternate run-through of "Lies," as performed from the BBC's Live Lounge, and you can give it a stream down below.
