Not far removed from releasing her sixth solo LP Goodnight City last month, Martha Wainwright is looking ahead to 2017 by mapping out a Canadian tour set to start next spring.
After touring through Australia and the UK, Wainwright will trek through Canada in the month of April, lining up 19 shows from coast-to-coast, nine of which will be in Quebec.
Starting in Quebec, Wainwright will travel through Ontario to play two shows in United States, taking the stage in Illinois and Minnesota. From there, she'll head west with stops in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia before returning to Quebec.
Along with the tour announcement, Wainwright has shared a video for Goodnight City's leading single "Around the Bend," which was created in Montreal with the help of cousins Vinnie Dow, Sylvan and Lily Lanken and Kathleen Weldon.
Tickets for all dates are on sale now, with VIP options also available through Wainwright herself. The special package includes a meet and greet, soundcheck access, a CD copy of Goodnight City and a VIP laminate, while an optional add-on can get you an autographed copy of the record on vinyl.
