A driving force of Machinedrum's recent album A View of U is its collaborative spirit, and the producer has now teamed with A$AP Ferg to remix a single from the record.
Ferg joins Tanerélle and Mono/Poly on a reworked version of "Star," which you can hear below. In a statement, the A$AP Mob co-founder shared that upon hearing the former on the track, he had to hop on with a verse of his own.
"I've been a fan of Tanerélle for a while now. When I first heard 'Star' I kept playing it over and over again" Ferg said. "The sound is super fresh — it puts you in a trance. Her voice takes the record over the top."
In turn, Machinedrum called Ferg "one of the coolest guys I've ever worked with," sharing, "He was wearing a Slipknot shirt and listening to distorted industrial techno when I walked in the studio and it was love at first sight."
Ferg shared his Floor Seats II album in October. Read Exclaim!'s review of A View of U.
