'Nabuma Rubberband' (album stream)

Though Swedish modern pop conceptualists Little Dragon will be delivering their next heady set of tunes, Nabuma Rubberband, on May 13 through Loma Vista Recordings/Because Music, the outfit are puffing out a full-length preview of the platter before you can actually pick it up in stores and online. Best of all, you can hear the whole thing now on Exclaim.ca.

Truth be told, Little Dragon have already been mighty generous to fans, having already previewed a handful of tracks from the platter, including the both sensual and sombre "Let Go," subtle electro-pop snapper "Paris," and manic first single "Klapp Klapp."

As previously reported, vocalist Yukimi Nagano had explained to BBC host DJ Zane Lowe that Nabuma Rubberband features "Some slow jams, some upbeat tracks."

To prove her point, elsewhere in the stream you'll find the funky fantasy "Pretty Girls," which has Nagano laying out a psychedelic story about slipping on banana peels and riding a unicorn through a California dream. "Cat Rider" settles into an arrangement of soft vocals, an icy drum machine beat and fluttering tones, while the title track slinks along with a glammy showtune feel full of staccato synth hits and sophisticated string swipes.

If you're in Canada, you can sample all those and more down below.

Little Dragon have a pile of North American dates coming up, including a show at Toronto's Kool Haus on May 10. You can see their entire schedule here. Also, you can pre-order Nabuma Rubberband on iTunes here.
