Little Dragon have shared details of their seventh studio LP. The band will release new album Slugs of Love on July 7 via Ninja Tune.
Following 2020's New Me, Same Us, the 11-track Slugs of Love includes collaborations with Damon Albarn and J.I.D. The Gorillaz and Blur leader joins the Swedish outfit for a "slow dripping glittery ride to a daydream in wonderland" titled "Glow," while the Atlanta MC appears on the previously shared "Stay."
"We've been exploring different ways to collaborate and communicate. Dissolving patterns and making new ones. Nurturing our ability to curiously press down keys, to bang — sometimes hard sometimes gently — on different things, strumming strings, recording sounds and investigating the limits for how much or little a sound can be tweaked," Little Dragon share of their process. "Together we have developed, replayed, danced to, cried and laughed to this music as it has evolved forwards, backwards, sideways and all around, but now finally as a complete masterpiece… This feels like our finest work yet. We are very proud."
New song "Kenneth" arrives alongside today's album news, and you can hear it alongside a video directed, animated and edited by Unlimited Time Only. The animation studio also previously shared title track, which you can find below, along with "Stay."
