It's been almost 20 years since Lamb of God's Ashes of the Wake and Mastodon's Leviathan were released on August 31, 2004. Feel old yet? The revered metal bands are giving you and your creaky bones the opportunity to experience both of those classic albums live on the same night this year with the Ashes of Leviathan co-headlining North American tour this summer, which includes scheduled Canadian stops in London, Montreal, Calgary and Penticton.
With support from Kerry King and Malevolence (and Unearth at select dates), the co-headlining venture begins on July 19 in Grand Prairie, TX. At the end of the month, the bands will make their way to Canada to play London's Budweiser Gardens on July 31 and Montreal's Bell Centre on August 1.
Lamb of God and Mastodon then circle back stateside ahead of hitting the Canadian West Coast a couple weeks later, with gigs at Calgary's Scotiabank Saddledome on August 15 and Penticton's South Okanagan Events Centre on August 16. They'll complete the remainder of the tour in the US, wrapping things up on August 31 in Omaha, NE.
