Kids in the Hall's Scott Thompson Unearths '80s Punk Band

There are already plenty of musical connections to the legendary Canadian sketch comedy crew Kids in the Hall, but things just got a little more interesting with the arrival of Scott Thompson's queer weird-punk band.

As Chart Attack explains, the band existed in the late '80s, but some kind soul has down the work and uploaded 15 of their albums to Bandcamp. Across over a hundred songs, the band offer up some lo-fi new-wave with a truly comedic bent as they deliver songs like "Guess I'll Just Jerk Off Again," "Gay Men with Cats" and "White Trash Sex Machine."

Thompson's not on all the albums, sitting out on a few of the recording sessions. Still, he's mostly here as the vocalist, and you'll certainly recognize his singing when you hear it.

Listen to three of Mouth Congress' albums below, and please consider them for your vinyl reissue label. We'd love to own physical copies of this stuff.
