Julia Holter made a big impression on us this year with her Exclaim!-approved Have You in My Wilderness. Luckily for us, Holter now has even more new music in the works, this time by the way of a soundtrack contribution.
As Film Music Reporter points out, Holter has been commissioned to score the upcoming boxing drama Bleed for This. Written and directed by Ben Younger (Boiler Room, Prime), the film focuses on the real-life story of boxer Vinny Pazienza (a.k.a. Vinny Paz), whose life was derailed following a near fatal car crash that left him with a broken neck.
Pazienza will be played by Miles Teller, while Aaron Eckhart has been tapped to play his trainer Kevin Rooney. The film will also star Ben Younger, Bruce Cohen, Katey Sagal, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Chad Verdi and Noah Kraft. It will be executive produced by Martin Scorsese.
Bleed for This is set for release 2016 via Open Road Films.
