After releasing her sophomore French language album ENCORE! Earlier this year, Jill Barber is back to ring in the holidays with three Christmas classics sung in both English and French.

Today, we get her take on  "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch"/ "Vous êtes méchant, M.Grinch", famously featured in the animated 1966 TV Special How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The next two installments in Barber's holiday spectacular will be "Sleigh Ride"/ Promenade en traîneau," arriving December 4, and "I'll be Home for Christmas"/"C'est la nuit de Noël," arriving December 18.

Barber's version of "You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch" stays true to the vibe of the original, though Barber manages to add a sultry spin to lines like, "You're as cuddly as a cactus / You're as charming as an eel." Her take adds a dimension of longing; Here, the Grinch is a misunderstood bad boy who's caught Barber in his web.

"I've always thought green looked good on me," Barber sings at the song's end.
