In Flames and Opeth Team Up for North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 13, 2014

With In Flames ready to sound their Siren Charms and Opeth just about to offer us their Pale Communion, the two Swedish metal bands have announced they'll be promoting both platters on our side of the pond late this year.

The veteran acts will be tag-teaming North America in December, with the series of joint dates crossing the U.S./Canada border for shows in Toronto and Montreal. As an added bonus, Portland's Red Fang will be opening the shows.

You'll find all of the info behind their 15-stop trek, appropriately called "Communion of Sirens," down below.

As for the new tunes, Opeth's slightly delayed Pale Communion drops August 26 through Roadrunner Records. While details behind the stall were never delivered in full, the band reported that "several circumstances" prevented its originally planned June due date. The band's Mikael Åkerfeldt produced the set, recorded at Wales' Rockfield Studios, while mixing was done by Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson. You'll find first single "Cusp of Reality" beneath the concert dates.

In Flames' Siren Charms is due in North America on September 9 through Epic Records/Sony Music, while the European copies land September 5. The Swedish edition is being handled by Razzia Records. The 11-song outing was recorded at iconic Berlin studio Hansa (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Depeche Mode). You'll find first single "Rusted Nail" below as well.
