Not far removed from coming Straight into Canada on tour, Ice Cube can't keep away from the Great White North — or Canadian football, based on a recent link-up with the CFL's Ottawa Redblacks.

It was a great day for the football franchise in the nation's capital, who gave the West Coast icon a preview of their new home jerseys, recently unveiled ahead of taking the field this season.

The team shared a clip of Cube receiving his very own Redblacks jersey, complete with his name on the back and front patch playing into the team's lumberjack imagery. "Redblacks," he says. "Goddamn, that's a hard name too."

Making the move from Raider Nation to #RNation is a great lateral move for Cube, who should definitely take a trip to Ottawa in summertime to catch a game at Lansdowne Park. The artist, who has tour dates with Red Hot Chili Peppers this month, played the neighbouring TD Place Arena earlier this year on his aforementioned Straight into Canada tour.
