Huey Lewis & the News Return with Their First New Album in Nearly 20 Years

Listen to "While We're Young" from 'Weather'

Huey Lewis & the News have announced their first new record in almost two decades. The album is called Weather and will arrive on February 14 via BMG.

The record — a mere seven tracks in length — comes after nearly 20 years since the band's last record of original recordings. Weather features "While We're Young," released today, and "Her Love Is Killing Me," which arrived back in September.

Weather marks the band's first album of original music since their eighth studio effort, 2001's Plan B. In 2010, Huey Lewis & the News would go on to release Soulsville, a tribute to the music of Stax Records, telling Billboard at the time they are "not spring chickens. And the public isn't clamouring for new Huey Lewis & the News material."

Since then, Lewis has been eager to get back into recording and touring following his Meniere's disease diagnosis last year.

"You've got to look on the bright side and stay creative," the artist said in a statement. "Even if I never sing again, things could always be worse. After all, I'm deaf, not dead."
