Edmonton-founded/Vancouver-based art-rock weirdos Hot Panda have a new album on the way, but before they confirm the specifics of its impending release, they are premiering a new cut called "Other Spooky Is."
Part kooky, part menacing, the song teems with pounding rhythms and fidgety, angular riffs. Throw in some oddball keys, robo voices and Chris Connelly's emphatically yelped singing, and its six-minute runtime plays out a bit like the Pixies on a frantically quirky prog-punk kick.
