Long-running folk festival Hillside will return to Guelph, ON, this summer, and the roster of 2017 performers has just been unveiled.
Amongst this year's acts are Coeur de pirate, Billy Bragg with Joe Henry, Lowest of the Low, the Barr Brothers, Lindi Ortega, Xavier Rudd, Charlotte Day Wilson, Sarah Harmer, Begonia, Rae Spoon, the Jerry Cans and Weaves.
That's far from it, though. The rest of the lineup is rounded out (in alphabetical order) by the Aerialists, Big Brave, the Blurry Pickers, Boogat, Las Cafeteras, Century Egg, Chastity, Charlotte Cornfield, Ora Cogan, Common Deer, Communism, Dead Flowers, Carly Dow, Duchess Says, the Franklin Electric, Future Peers, Matt Haeck, HIGHPARK, Jaunt, Kacy & Clayton, Kaia Kater, Kasador, Kevin Breit & the Upper York Mandolin Quartet, Lisa LeBlanc, Lost Cousins, the Luyas, Mbongwana Star, Mt. Joy, Murder Murder, Irish Mythen, NEFE, New Canadian Global Music Orchestra, Parsonsfield, Klô Pelgag, William Prince, Alejandra Ribera, Jenny Ritter, DJ Shub, Lucas Stagg, Leonard Sumner, the Turbans, Lindy Vopnfjord, Whoop-Szo, and Lula Wiles.
The festival will run from July 14 to 16 at Guelph Lake Conservation Area, and tickets are currently on sale.
