HEALTH aren't short on collaborators, but they've just added another indie juggernaut to their roster by teaming up with CHVRCHES vocalist Lauren Mayberry to rework their RAT WARS track "ASHAMED."
Having already worked with the likes of Soccer Mommy, Poppy, Xiu Xiu and countless others, Mayberry's contribution to the HEALTH repertoire is a natural fit — her voice complementing frontman Jake Duzsik's seamlessly and adding a delightful feminine tint to the already-great track.
The Los Angeles trio of Duzsik, John Famiglietti and BJ Miller released their relatively low-collaboration LP — the follow-up to guest-heavy turns in 2022's DISCO4 :: PART II and 2020's DISCO4 :: PART I — through Loma Vista Recordings back in December, just squeaking by to make it onto Exclaim!'s list of 2023's best albums. Since then, they toured North America, and will commence their European trek tomorrow (June 14).
While on the road, the group paid a visit to KEXP for a cute little four-song session, which you can play below alongside the new version of "ASHAMED."
