Foals have their sights squarely set on their upcoming album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2, and the U.K. band are showing it off some via the newly shared track "The Runner."
As a press release explains, the song is set in the aftermath of the landscape described in the final songs of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost — Part 1, "a world that reflects our current emotional, political, and environmental predicament."
In a statement, Foals singer Yannis Philippakis had this to say about the newly relesaed song: "It's a call to find a sense of purpose & perseverance despite the odds & despite the troubles we may find inside or outside ourselves."
Listen to "The Runner" below. It follows the previously shared album track "Black Bull."
Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 is out on October 18 via Warner.
